Golden Lattice Quilt Pattern
The golden lattice quilt pattern is my favorite mix of traditional and modern.
When I first began quilting, I thought I would never sew anything even close to traditional. But, as you probably know, some of those traditional designs are just perfect. This pattern started as just one block. I wanted to strip down the sawtooth star quilt block for a more simplified version. Once I had that block, I knew I needed more blank space. Put together, these blocks make a timeless, lattice design.
I tend to favor solid fabrics in my quilts, and this one is no different for me. However, I have seen some classic florals mixed in to make the accent fabrics pop. The pattern includes the two-tone option or a "scrappy option". For the scrappy option, fat quarters, scraps, or yardage can be used to add a variety of accent colors throughout the quilt.
The pattern includes sizes pillow, baby, small throw, large throw and bed sized. I have made a pillow with the pillow size, but even better, I have used this size to make tote bags. A single block is a simple, striking design for a pillow or tote bag.

Love the mustard solid and can’t wait to make this one!
Hi Margaret,
I love the scrappy option too. It is fun to have more ways to change up a quilt!
I’d like to try scrappy…
