This 8.5" x 8.5" calendar features 12 hand-sewn traditional quilt blocks, each crafted with fabrics hand-dyed using natural plant materials. Blocks were lightly quilted and photographed to showcase the artistry of traditional piecing. From historic patterns like the Honeymoon Block (circa 1937) to beloved classics like the Ohio Star, each month honors some of the best quilt blocks that have been made thousands of times throughout quilting history. These historic patterns are lovely in soft, earthy tones of natural dyes.
The QR code on the last page of the calendar will bring you to the blog with instructions to make a 12.5" x 12.5" quilt block of your own. Patterns will be updated the first week of every month for the coordinating month's block.
