Scrappy Lines Quilt Along

 Hi quilty friends!

I am so excited to be hosting this quilt along! Join me as we clean out our scraps and make a scrappy lines quilt together. If you still need the PATTERN, get it here. This sew along took place in January 2021, but you can follow along at your own pace at anytime. Follow the blogs from week 1- week 4 to make your own Scrappy Lines Quilt!

A little about this quilt...

Last January, I was burnt out on sewing after the holiday rush. I had a huge mess in my sewing room, piles of fabric, and no motivation to sew anything. The new year always feels like a time to slow down and get organized. I slowly started tackling my piles of scraps hoping to clear the clutter in my sewing space. Without much of a plan, I began ironing out the pieces. I eventually settled on a size I should cut them to and the scrappy lines pattern slowly came to be.

I love this quilt for a few reasons. First, it is a great way to clean up your scraps. I know we all have them, and it can be hard to figure out ways to use them. Also, it's an easy, stress free pattern. Not much planning is necessary and so many fabric combinations work with it. Last, it has a modern, clean look which is difficult to achieve with scraps.

Quilt Along Details

So, what's a quilt along, or QAL? It's really just a fun way to sew a quilt together. We will walk through the quilt process step by step with details and tips along the way. Plus, there will be weekly prizes.

Each of the four weeks, I will be sending out an email with the weekly task along with some tips. I will also be posting the weekly task on Instagram with my progress. To be entered into the weekly prize drawing, all you need to do is post a photo on Instagram with the hashtag #scrappylinesqal and tag me.
